NIH Leadership appearing on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal

C-SPAN’s Washington Journal has taken its show on the road in order to provide an in-depth look at issues throughout the country. NIH had the pleasure of hosting the show on the NIH campus for the first time in December 2013 and then again in February 2014. In their third visit to the NIH campus in September 2014, WJ spoke with Dr. Collins and more NIH directors about important, groundbreaking research for multiple diseases and conditions.

C-SPAN’s Washington Journal hosted its full 3-hour show on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus on Friday, December 6, 2013. Host Steve Scully spoke with NIH Director Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D., and several of the NIH institute and center directors about the impact of reductions to the NIH budget on cancer, HIV/AIDS, genomics and mental health research. Viewers were able to call in and ask questions.
